Connected in Flow

On Emptiness with Ringu Tulka

The saying "the only thing that is constant in life is change" makes perfect sense, as nothing is permanent and we are all related and interdependent. Ringu Tulka, a Buddhist monk, teaches that we are an organism that is forming, unforming and flowing constantly -- a kind of "emptiness" that encompasses all.

Ringu Tulka clarifies for me the notion that emptiness is also the field of infinite possibilities that Deepak Chopra speaks about. Change is movement and things move in the space or emptiness. The key is to know how to direct that movement towards positive results for the individual and universal good. Perhaps the instrument of that directing is out thoughts and their quality - positive or negative.
