Eliminate the Mucus
As you prepare for the renewed energy of spring—and all the traditional spring-cleaning tasks—don’t forget to include your inner cleansing program. Try a mucusless diet, a very simple, yet effective cleansing regime to help your body eliminate toxins that have accumulated during the long, sedentary winter or following a bout with a winter cold.
Simply switch to eating only fruits, nuts and vegetables for one week. Allow four hours between meals and drink lots of fresh juices with the pulp left in. (You can add a little ground black pepper to the juice to aid in the elimination of intestinal gas.) If you feel weak during the first few days, try to rest and give yourself a relaxing foot massage with almond oil. As your strength returns, get some exercise and always drink lots of water. When the week is done your step will be lighter, your eyes brighter and you’ll be primed and ready for the change of season.
