Chew Through Change

An Onion at a Time

Things change. You want it that way, otherwise life would be boring. However, taking care of your body in the midst of big changes is crucial. Your body needs time to adjust so it can support you. This is true for major life changes (such as a new job or a move), as well as foreign travel and the changing of the seasons.

There are numerous ways to deal with transitions by priming the body’s systems. One simple and effective method is to eat a raw onion a day! The anti-bacterial sulfur compounds in raw onions help to tune up your immune, digestive and glandular systems. It’s not as hard as it seems. Spice up your salad with fresh red onion, sprinkle green onions liberally on your favorite Mexican dish or add them to a savory soup to give a crunchy texture to your meal. Try it for 40 days. Chew through change with a flair!
