A Winter's Tale

Time for Reflection

The coldest of the seasons offers a time for reflection. As you watch the outer world change, consider how Mother Nature’s “winter tale” might relate to your inner environment. What unifies the cycle of the seasons and what ties the recent past to the present moment? Ultimately, the one constant is your inner being, which defines your relationship to all life.

This is a time of year when many people make resolutions to change habits. If that inspires you, take some time to really think about where you are in your own personal cycle. Is this a time to commit to some life-changing behaviors? Is it time to take stock of where you are going and write down some goals for the new year? How can you deepen your devotion to the things you have already committed to in your life? Finally, how will you remember this time in your life…what choices can you make today to allow you to walk confidently through your own winter wonderland? It’s worth reflecting on!
