The Goddess Peridot

Gem of the Sun

When Hawaiian natives first discovered Peridot in the black sands of volcanoes, they believed the clear, green gemstones were the tears of the Volcano Goddess Pele. The ancient Egyptians believed this Sun Stone connected them to their Goddess Isis. Peridot is a joy stone, emanating a friendly energy, which attracts love, opportunity and wealth. Peridot is also worn for protection and healing.

Peridot is associated with the heart chakra, located at the center of the chest. If this chakra is out of balance one may experience anger or jealousy and this could trigger resentment and envy. Over time this could manifest in some physical disorders such as arthritis, ulcers and TMJ (Temporalmandibular joint) conditions. Peridot can be used to balance and stimulate the heart chakra, act as a tonic for the whole body, calm the emotions, soothe the nervous system and enhance the harmony of relationships of all kinds, particularly marriage.

If Peridot energy is what you are looking for in your life, you might want to practice the Meditation for a Calm Heart (Kundalini Yoga by Shakta Kaur Khalsa). Try this meditation for 40 days, keep a journal, and see what happens!

Stone properties is one of those things I like to learn. There is always something new...and a review is good too. Thanks for the timely information. Just in time for October babies!
