Endings and Beginnings
Astral Weather Report, Dec. '11
December begins with Mercury in retrograde, asking us to review, reflect and renew. Clean out your closets and throw away that which no longer serves you.
Emotional energy crescendos during the first full week of the month, climaxing at the time of the Full Moon Lunar eclipse on December 10. This powerful event offers you a chance to change direction on a project, personal plan or relationship that hasn’t been yielding the desired fruits. Use the energy to elevate yourself and those around you.
On December 13, Mercury turns direct and communication gets back on track. Understanding abounds, travel gets smoother and it is safe to buy holiday gifts with mechanical and electrical parts.
Beginning December 20, romance takes unexpected twists and turns, due to a shift in Venus over the next four weeks. Expect the unexpected! Lovers will come from out of the blue to surprise you with their displays of passion.
The Winter Solstice falls on December 22 as the Sun moves into grounded, practical Capricorn. For the next four weeks, focus on important life-goals, career aspirations and self preservation. Consider a new health scheme for yourself, complete with a new design for eating and a comprehensive exercise regime. The New Moon in Capricorn on December 24 is a good time to set your goals in motion. Create a vision board around what you want to manifest for yourself in 2012.
A true gift from the cosmos comes on Christmas Day when Jupiter, known as the Santa Claus of the zodiac, turns direct after four months of retrograde motion. Now is a good time to start moving forward with large-scale projects and financial investments that may have been stuck lately.
Overall, 2011 ends on a productive and rather optimistic note. Take what has transpired over the past year and let it go. Make room for something fresh. There is an exciting world on the horizon.
