A Pretty Bow

Mandy Ingber Explains Bow Pose

You bend over to pick up things off the floor, to lift the kids up, or any number of reasons that moves your spine forward or down. It's the movement in the inverse, stretching backwards, that rarely happens, unless you consciously exercise your spine in this way. Bow pose will get you there, with little effort and a lot of benefit, to maintaining the flexibility and health of your lower back. Mandy Ingber demonstrates this basic yoga pose.
