Working for the World
Connect to the Source of Your Food - A Dedicated Email

Over the last 40 years, the Fair Trade movement has blossomed from a few tiny “worldshops” selling beads and trinkets into a worldwide force for good, ensuring decent wages and working conditions for small farmers who produce the products we enjoy every day, such as coffee, fruit, tea and cotton. The money you spend on Fair Trade and Organic products is literally a vote for a cleaner, healthier, happier, world. Unfortunately, many of the Fair Trade and Organic goods available today are relatively expensive, and much of the extra money paid for them gets filtered out by middlemen before it even reaches the actual farmers and workers producing the products.
But a new movement is afoot. The internet empowers consumers to go straight to the source. For example, BeON Living has just launched a Superfood Club that skips most of the middlemen to connect directly with source farms and indigenous communities. Not only does this allow lower prices for shoppers, it also creates better wages for farmers: a truly fair trade! Other perks? Better quality control and a more heartfelt connection to the people and places where our food really comes from.
