Delete the Files

Eleven Minute Lullaby

When you lie down for your nightly sleep, what gets in the way? Usually, it comes down to excess mental activity. When you really look at it, it’s a good idea not to take all of the challenges, the business, the pluses and minuses of the day to bed with you. Trying to sleep with all of this clutter in your mind yields mixed results at best.

So instead, sit at the edge of your bed or on your meditation mat, and go within for eleven minutes. Simply sit and breathe or do your own favorite meditation. After eleven minutes of relative stillness, the nerves calm and the glandular system begins to balance, secreting all the things it needs, including self-generated sleep aids! By the time this happens, you will have had plenty of opportunity to clean out your mental inbox and delete the unnecessary files. Erase the emotional, commotional files in your mind, and let the stillness replace them with relaxation. When you wake up, your desktop will be clear!
