Uranus in Aries

A Revolution for Every Body

When Uranus moves into the sign of Aries and makes its first important aspect (or geometrical pattern in the heavens) you will notice a change in fitness, sport and physical pursuits like yoga. Aries is the sign associated with athletics since the time of the Greeks and Romans. It is ruled by Mars, the planet which research has proven is most prominent in the birth charts of athletes. So when Uranus (which describes revolution) goes into Aries at the end of May, expect a sea change in the way you use your body.

There is another reason to welcome Uranus into this change of sign, around May 29th, depending on your time zone. Uranus shows us where new freedom can be found. Because it is in an entirely new sign, and thus a new area of your solar chart, you can expect to be liberated in an area of your life where you have never experienced freedom before.

You’ll even be seeing clues and signs now. Which new person, place or situation rose up to meet you in April, or is tempting you now? Chances are this ‘agent of change’ appeared as the inner planets began to pass through Aries, which is rather like seeing a preview of the situation which begins, in full force, at the end of May.

There’s even more good news. Jupiter, the planet of abundance and opportunity, also moves into Aries this year. So along with a new sense of freedom and space (rather like having oxygen pumped into your life), you’ll see expansion, hope, and possibility. This will be most evident when Jupiter forms a conjunction on June 8th.

If you were born at the very beginning of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius, or Aquarius (the opening dates of these signs) June is going to be an astonishing month when many doors open at once. So hold on to your seats! The times, they are a-changin’!

Well, my birthday is June 5th. Both Uranus and June (transiting second house) will be trining natal moon on the tenth. I've just commenced buying lottery tickets for the next few weeks just in case! Being realistic however, I'm also in the middle of an IRS correspondence audit and awaiting their verdict on the submission of some supporting documentation, so I know that this situation could just as easily blow up into a deep and wide ranging audit! I will prepare for all contingencies knowing that the most likely scenario is something I have not even imagined.

Outer planets really only affect nations or generations in a broad sense. Far more important to the individual is what house Uranus is currently in.

Also, Uranus is in a sign for a long time, so even though it's entry into the sign may have significance, it will retrograde out and in and then make these changes over time.

Aries is a sign of pioneering, not only the physical. But in fact, Uranus in Aries probably bodes more to physical changes to the earth. Fires, oil spills, things like that. There is always a good and a bad to a planet entering a new sign.
